Los Cuadernos de Julia
I have been writing the blog Notebooks – Los Cuadernos de Julia for almost a year now. I started it in part out of curiosity because blog has been for me, more often than not, like an online diary, and the diary that I tried to write more than ten years ago turned out to be a totally pathetic experience. In part, I took on board what Bette Midler has been singing in The Rose: “it’s the dream afraid of breaking that never takes a chance”. I was losing so much more not sharing my thoughts, knowledge and talents with other people, and when I finally realised it, I quickly came up with an idea for my Notebooks, which is exactly what the word tells you: my notebooks, with stories, poems, articles, musings, comments, quotes. The only thing these digital cuadernos don’t have, unlike the paper ones that I’m carrying around with me, are various phone numbers, email addresses, notes about shopping, travelling times, etc.
So, on this page I will post links to a few posts in Notebooks – Los Cuadernos de Julia, and please feel free to comment either here or in Notebooks. The posts marked with ♦ are the ones that are constantly attracting visitors. Needless to say, all of them are copyrighted. I’m also posting links to the interviews about my blog to Richard Fair at the BBC Radio Manchester and to Linda Jones at DollyMix.tv. I feature in these under my nom de plume, Julie Delvaux.
